Timing is every thing! In late June, whereas I packed for my July/August talking tour of Queensland, Australia, science author Stephen Buranyi dropped an 11-page bombshell in London on the failures of Darwinism. Buranyi’s article appeared in The Guardian underneath the title, “Do We Want a New Principle of Evolution?”
Bingo! This brilliantly written exposé on dissent in biology, which Evolution Information lined right here, turned the right lead-in for my twenty Aussie lectures, as I teamed up with my Trinity Faculty colleague John Lingelbach.
Following the Proof
Our theme was “A Designed Cosmos? Observe the Proof,” and the tour included two days of talks at Griffith College and a day talking at Emmanuel Faculty within the Gold Coast space, with 5 hundred in attendance. We summarized the proof for design from cosmic fine-tuning, DNA’s refined codes, and exquisitely built-in molecular machines. We mentioned new fossil findings which have expanded the Cambrian Explosion, and we detailed how the origin of the primary life by a “senseless Darwinian course of” is an thought pummeled at present even by many secular academicians.
One scholar at Griffith College was amazed at “how atheists are starting to reject pure choice as an inadequate clarification for the range of life.” He discovered the lecture collection “an thrilling expertise to share at our overly secularized college.”
Science, C. S. Lewis, and Pizza
Twice, we mixed the proof of science with insights from C. S. Lewis, who in his writings articulated a considerable collection of clues about God. This energetic group, seen right here in Southport, “ate up the clues” after which feasted on pizza!
