Berkeley Neuroscience annual convention held at Asilomar

In October 2022, we held the UC Berkeley Neuroscience annual convention in individual and off campus for the primary time since 2019. Members of the Helen Wills Neuroscience Institute (HWNI) and the broader neuroscience group at Berkeley together with college students, postdocs, college, and workers gathered on the Asilomar Convention Grounds in Pacific Grove, California from October 14-16 to share their analysis and concepts, reconnect, and meet new members. We have been honored to have Nobel laureate and UC Berkeley alum David Julius from UC San Francisco as our keynote speaker.

“It was nice,” stated HWNI member and professor of neurobiology Dan Feldman. “We had a buzzing poster session, plenty of attention-grabbing talks, and an enchanting seminar from David Julius on sensory biology of the intestine. There was an impromptu get together on the seashore on Friday and a expertise present and karaoke get together on Saturday. Berkeley Neuro college students are a gifted bunch!”

We’re glad that we may maintain the convention in the way in which that we used to do, and look ahead to persevering with the custom!
